Professor Theo D’haen, a member of the Academia Europaea and Professor at KU Leuven, Belgium, will lead a seminar exploring the theoretical developments in the latter half of the twentieth century and the underlying logic behind the emergence of world literature. The discussion will center on his paper “Whither World Literature?”, examining the evolving directions and conceptual foundations of world literature.The seminar will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, in Room 204, Tenglong Building, College of Foreign Studies, Hunan Normal University（湖南师范大学腾龙楼204）.
